Iran urges France to help resolve regional crises

By Trend
Iran and France are capable of putting an end to wars in the region, a senior advisor to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said.
“The two countries, Iran and France, are capable of putting an end to the destructive wars in the region through cooperation,” IRNA news agency quoted Ali Akbar Velayati as saying at a meeting with visiting French National Assembly President Claude Bartolone in Tehran.
He added that Iran is against any policies aimed at separation of a country.
Appreciating ties between Iran and France, he called for expansion of cultural cooperation between Tehran and Paris.
Heading a parliamentary delegation, Bartolone arrived in Tehran Sept. 6 to discuss international and regional issues as well as bilateral ties with Iranian officials.
