Accident kills two at SOCAR offshore platform
Two workers were killed and another was severely injured in an accident on a platform run by Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR at the Gunashli field in the Caspian Sea.
According to preliminary conclusions, the accident resulted from a violation of safety regulations.
An ad hoc commission has been established to scrutinize causes of the accident.
