Gymnast Oleg Stepko successfully performs in France

The 6th Artistic Gymnastics European Championships 2015 was colorfully held in the French city of Montpellier on April 15-19.
Azerbaijani gymnasts successfully performed at the European Championships in men's and women's artistic gymnastics.
For the first time our gymnasts competed in the final of the continental championships.
Some 167 men’s gymnasts from 38 national federations competed over 3 subdivisions for a place among the best 24 in the all-around and the top 8 per event.
Reaching all-around finals, Oleg Stepko and Petro Pakhnyuk also defended their right to compete in the finals on the parallel bars.
Oleg came second in the qualifying stage of all-round, leaving behind most of the competitors. The first place went to Ukrainian Oleg Verniaiev, while British Purvis Daniel placed third.
Moreover, Stepko reached the finals on the pommel horse, where he ranked sixth. Performing on the parallel bars, Oleg stopped in fourth position.
