KfW infrastructure projects continue in Georgia

Georgian Regional Development and Infrastructure Minister Davit Shavliashvili met with the representatives of KfW Development Bank to mull the infrastructure projects financed by KfW.

The ministry reported that the sides also outlined the plans for the future, and considered the integration of "Waters of Adjara" company with "United Water Supply Company of Georgia".

"This process will not hamper the projects for the rehabilitation of the water supply system of Adjara, financed by KfW," Shavliashvili added.

On the contrary, the experience will be exchanged and the staff retraining process will begin.

The German side has presented its vision of waste management and made several recommendations in this area. This trend in Georgia is being developed rapidly and progressively, the German side said.

KfW will soon begin a feasibility study in Samegrelo and Kakheti to create modern landfills there.
