Water polo competitions among women start in Baku
Water polo competitions among women in group A have started in Baku as part of teh inaugural European Games on June 12.
The Netherlands - Israel and Hungary - Germany matches will take place within the framework of the preliminary round.
Water polo competitions among women in group B will also take place today.
Greece - UK and Spain – Serbia matches will start at 1.45 p.m. (GMT + 5 hours), while Russia - Slovakia, Italy - France matches will begin at 3.30 p.m. (GMT + 5 hours).
All competitions will be held at the Water Polo Arena.
Baku 2015 is the first-ever European Games, an exciting and innovative multi-sport event for the continent that will take place on June 12-28, 2015.
There will be a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports. More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe will be representing their nations over 17 days of competition.
Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
