Azerbaijani grandmaster becomes winner of Oscar blitz tournament
Azerbaijani grandmaster Namig Guliyev has won the Oscar blitz tournament held in Paris.
The tournament brought together 233 chess players from 13 countries, Azertac reported.
Namig Guliyev played for Azerbaijan in the Chess Olympiads of 1994 and 2006.
In 2012, he won the second place at the International Chess Tournament in Geneva. In the final round, Guliyev beat Andrea Prinetti, scoring 5.5 points out of seven possible.
