Azerbaijani artists give concert in U.S.

Azerbaijani artists have given a concert in Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles.
The concert was dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the first diplomatic meeting between the representatives of Azerbaijan and the United States, the organizers of the event told Trend Agency.
Themeeting of an Azerbaijani delegation headed by Foreign Minister of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR), Alimardanbek Topchubashov and U.S. President Woodrow Wilson was held on April May 28 in 1919, on anniversary day of ADR.
Azerbaijan's Consul General in Los Angeles, Nasimi Aghayev noted the importance of the development of relations and cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States during the event.
Guitarist Rovshan Mamedguliyev, pianist Namiq Sultanov, mugham performers Aytan Maharramova (singer), Rovshan Gurbanov (tar) and Jeyhun Muradov (kamancha) performed a concert at the gala evening.
Since Azerbaijan's emergence as an independent nation in 1991, the U.S.-Azerbaijan relationship has evolved into a strategic partnership based on mutual interests and common values. At present, Azerbaijan-US relations are developing rapidly.
