Azerbaijan, Slovenia to eye military cooperation
The military cooperation expansion between Azerbaijan and Slovenia will be discussed during Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov’s visit to Slovenia, Slovenian ambassador to Azerbaijan (with a residence in Ankara) Milan Jazbec told Trend.
The diplomat said the visit will take place on March 11-13. During the visit, Hasanov will meet with his Slovenian counterpart Janko Veber.
"Hasanov also plans to meet with the Slovenian president and prime minister," Jazbec added.
Jazbec earlier said that the Slovenian government intends to raise the level of cooperation with Azerbaijan to the strategic partnership.
Slovenia recognized Azerbaijan’s independence in December, 1991 and diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in February, 1996.
