Azerbaijan is doing everything necessary for the development of gymnastics, Hungarian gymnast Dorina Böczögő told Trend on February 20.

Conditions for the competitions in Baku are not worse, than they will be in Rio de Janeiro, she added.

"I participated in the first European games, now I come for the second time and don't stop wondering how the competitions are carried out in Baku. Conditions here are not worse than those that will be at the Olympic Games in Rio, this is a good reason to be proud", Böczögő said.

She noted that on the whole she's satisfied with her performances in qualifying.

"However, all athletes are very strong, and we must strive to win a medal", the athlete added.

The FIG World Challenge Cup in Artistic Gymnastics kicked off in Baku on February 19 and is to end on February 21. As many as 45 male and 22 female gymnasts will compete for medals in apparatus finals of the World Challenge Cup.

In general, athletes from 19 countries are to participate in the event.

Men’s and women’s qualifications were held on the first two days of the competitions. The last day men's and women's apparatus finals will be held.
