Tehran proceeds with nuclear talks seriously, president says
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said the country is proceeding
with the nuclear talks seriously.
He added that talks with the P5+1 group on the country’s nuclear
program are progressing, IRNA news agency reported on April 21.
He reiterated that an agreement would be beneficial to all.
Rouhani made the remarks before leaving Tehran for attending the
60th Commemoration of Asian-African Conference in Jakarta, capital
city of Indonesia.
Rouhani is scheduled to hold meetings with heads of states, Islamic
intellectuals, university professors, as well as Indonesian traders
and businessmen.
Through a prospective deal is expected to be signed by June 30,
Iran will limit its nuclear activities as a trust-building move
toward the international community. In return, the economic
sanctions on Iran's economy will be lifted.
The deal envisions at least a 10-year cooperation period between
the Islamic Republic and the group 5+1 (the US, UK, France, Russia,
China, and Germany).
