Azerbaijan`s President receives British permanent under-secretary of Foreign and Commonwealth Office
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on Thursday received a British delegation led by Simon Fraser, permanent under-secretary of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
They praised development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and UK in various spheres and underlined the importance of energy cooperation.
They stressed the long-term successful activity of BP in Azerbaijan and highly appreciated the transparency in oil and gas spheres in the country.
The sides also discussed prospects for relations between Azerbaijan and European Union, the two countries` security cooperation in Euro-Atlantic structures and other questions of mutual interest.
