“The passing of Arif Babaev, a prominent figure in Azerbaijani mugham art, is an irreparable loss for our culture and for our entire nation. He was a true People’s Artist, beloved by all generations. The mughams he performed with such mastery further enriched our national musical heritage. The kind and bright memory of Arif Babaev will forever live on in the hearts of the Azerbaijani people. May Allah rest his soul in peace," - the post reads.
