Five models will be added to the Mini Azerbaijan exhibition presenting historical and modern landmarks of Azerbaijan at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku, the center's official website said.

Visitors will have a chance to see the miniatures of Icherisheher (the Old City), Roman-Catholic Church in Baku, Baku Bay, Baku White City Project, and Qafqaz Riverside Hotel in Qabala.

The Mini Azerbaijan project of the Center is aimed at promoting and presenting Azerbaijani cultural, historical and architectural identity. The exhibition, which was launched on May 10, features models of 45 historical and modern landmarks of both the capital city of Baku and the country's regions.

The exhibition includes such landmarks as Momina Khatun Tomb, Government House, Shusha Mosque, Orthodox Church, Synagogue, Twin Gates, National Flag Square, and the former Ismailiyye Palace (The headquarters of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences). The Flame Towers are also introduced to the visitors.

The models of the projects such as Quba Genocide Memorial Complex, Shahdag Winter-Summer Tourism Complex, Caspian Sea Water Pavilion, and Khojaly Genocide Memorial Complex, which are currently under construction, are presented at the exhibition as well. Moreover, visitors have an opportunity to get information about the architectural design and interesting facts pertaining to each landmark.

Taking into consideration the pace of life in the 21st century, the only obstacle for seeing the landmarks of Baku and other regions is their distance from each other. The Heydar Aliyev Center removes this barrier and provides the locals and tourists with an opportunity of travel to all parts of Azerbaijan within a short span of time.

The Heydar Aliyev Center was established on December 26, 2006. The complex was designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid.

The Center houses a conference hall, a gallery hall and a museum. The project is intended to play an integral role in the intellectual life of the city. Located close to the city center, the site plays a pivotal role in the redevelopment of Baku.
