YARAT to host musical performance

YARAT Contemporary Art Space and Children’s Musical Theatre of Music School-studio under the Baku Musical Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli will organize a musical performance on February 2.
Entitled "I love you, Khazar", the performance serves as an open platform for everyone, who looks to engage creatively with a broad and diverse audience. The event is organized in frame of YARAT Freestyle project.
The main part of the play consists of famous songs that will guide you through a 100 years period of Azerbaijani history.
These song will take you to a journey from ancient times till nowadays during which you will experience Azerbaijani culture and traditions. Together with young actors you will wonder between different points in history: from the times of first man on this lands to the life woman getting rid of the veil and stepping out to freedom and equality; from the footsteps of Pioneer school children to marches during the war. Walking on the old windy Baku Boulevard and sunny beaches will take you back to your childhood…
Producers, authors of the script and the idea are Elvin Mirzayev and Nigar Hasanzadeh.
Music directors are Ofelia Akhundova and Vafa Hamidova, artistic director-Tarlan Seyidov.
The performance will take place at YARAT Contemporary Art Centre (2nd floor, Multifunctional room). The event starts at 7 pm. Admission is free.
YARAT FREESTYLE aims to set up a scene for creative groups and individuals and is open to actors, dancers, performance artists, musicians and other cultural practitioners. Anyone with a project or an idea can reach out to us.
