YARAT FREESTYLE: Gentle Object Vol 2

By Laman Ismayilova

YARAT Contemporary Art Space will present Gentle Object Vol 2 live music performance by Les Gardiens du Silence on January 30.

The event to be organized as part of YARAT Freestyle project serves as an open platform for who looks to engage creatively with a broad and diverse audience.

YARAT FREESTYLE aims to set up a scene for creative groups and individuals and is open to actors, dancers, performance artists, musicians and other cultural practitioners.

Gentle Objects is a series of performances that call for a dialogue about gender. It addresses the role of a woman in modern society. This curatorial project examines the historical and contemporary circumstances, which have shaped the relationships between men and women.

It raises fundamental questions about gender relations, explores philosophical assumptions about human nature, and considers the possibility of new social practices, which will bring about greater equality and mutual understanding.

The question of gender equality to be raised and supported by a number of female performers.

This time the project will focus on a woman’s role in modern society, where is often takes a back seat. The lead singer will be placed separately and will not perform side by side with other musicians drawing a parallel between our society and a woman’s status in it.

You’ll be lost in a hypnotic rhythm of the drums and a vibrant atmosphere created by the band will plunge you into acoustic heaven.

No chance to remain indifferent!

The curator is Lana Sokolova. The event starts at 19.00. Admission is free.
