Russian gymnasts happy to win gold medal at Baku 2015
Russian gymnasts Yana Pavlova and Anna Kornetskaya are happy to win the gold medal at the First European Games in Baku.
Earlier, today, the gymnasts won the gold medal in women’s synchronized trampoline event.
The strongest rivals are participating here, they said. “We have been training together recently and it was difficult at the beginning,” the gymnasts told Trend June 21. “But we coped with it and won the gold medal in this event.”
“Everything has been organized wonderfully,” said the Russian gymnasts. “We are very grateful for everything that Azerbaijan has done for holding these Games.”
The European Games that kicked off June 12, will last till June 28. There is a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports.
More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe came to Baku to represent their nations over 17 days of competition. Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
