Autumn is a cold season. So, we need to strengthen our immunity. To this end, it is necessary to strengthen out body. There is no doubt that we need morning gymnastics, walking outdoors and gardening, but food is also important to help activate our body's defense mechanism.

White blood cells, also known as leukocytes are the body's natural defense mechanism against infections. They are a major part of the function of our immune system. They eat away foreign bacteria and other organisms that invade the body, and they are therefore responsible for immunity.

If we don't provide the immune system with necessary nutrients, our body's resistance would decrease.

Reasons for decreasing immunity may be poor environmental conditions: bad water, polluted air. Low-quality food with lots of preservatives, dyes, stabilizers or high sugar content are also the main factors reducing protective ability of the organism.

Of course, all healthy and fresh food less or more help strengthening the immune system, as they are the sources of vitamins, minerals and nutrients. However, there are several recognized factors in this process. These include garlic, ginger, honey, lemon and yogurt. These products are available to everyone.You can add them into the usual dishes, prepare meals with them or eat them separately.

Other vegetables such as carrots and other red, yellow, orange, and dark-green leafy vegetables contain beta carotene which helps protect the immune system.

So, drink green tea to boost your immune system and allow your body to create more white blood cells. Green tea is a source of antioxidants, which helps your body fight off infection.

Doctor Gular Ibrahimova says that with the change of the seasons, especially in spring, fall and winter, people with weak immune system often get various diseases. To avoid this, it is necessary to strengthen the immune system.

"This is possible only with a proper balanced diet and healthy lifestyle. Our body needs vitamins, because it cannot accumulate them and most of them are able to synthesize. Therefore, the entire set of these substances should be received regularly and in the necessary amount," she said.

Especially, she emphasized on products, containing vitamins A and B, to which people with weak immune system should pay attention. "Quail egg must be included in the diet, as the amount of A and B vitamins in this egg are much more in comparison with a chicken one. Yogurt and milk can be very beneficial for the immune system. It helps the body produce antibodies and strengthens white blood cells"

We have received a valuable gift from the nature - the immune system. But the effectiveness of its protection depends on the lifestyle and behavior.

You should remember that vitamins enhancing immunity cannot fully replace medicines, which heal all diseases. To overcome a disease, we need something more than a balanced approach towards food. The best option is visiting your doctor since thoughtless consumption of some of them would only harm your body.
