Elite Horse and Polo Club prepares for World Cup

Four international teams will line-up for the 5th CBC Sport Arena Polo World Cup in Baku, on September 8-10.
The 5th Arena Polo World Cup will feature Team Grand Champions Polo Club (Palm Beach, USA), Team Elite Horse & Polo Club (Baku, Azerbaijan), Team Monte-Carlo Polo Team (Monte Carlo, Monaco) and the Team Evviva Polo Club (St. Moritz, Switzerland).
Presentation of the teams will be held at the JW Marriott Absheron hotel on September 7 following a press-conference.
The Elite Horse and Polo Club team continues preparations for the Cup. The head coach of the team, Namiq Orujov, said that the trainings are in line with the schedule.
"Our team continues trainings twice a day. At the beginning of the day we prefer physical loads. Then comes tactical exercises. The team is preparing for the competition with full squad,” he said adding that player’s mood is good.
The Azerbaijani team will face the United States Grand Champion Polo club in the opening match.
“We are convinced we will reach the goal and prove the hopes,” he added.
Since the inauguration of the Arena Polo World Cup Azerbaijan in 2013, the host team won the first ever FIP Arena Polo European Championship in 2015.
