Azerbaijan, Seychelles keen on boosting cooperation

Azerbaijan and Seychelles highlighted great potential for boosting cooperation as Azerbaijan's Deputy Foreign Minister Nadir Huseynov met former President of Seychelles James Richard Marie Mancham on April 29.
Mancham praised the activities of the Azerbaijani leadership, and also hailed the country`s development, the foreign ministry reported.
Noting that he first visited Azerbaijan to observe the presidential election in 2013, Mancham said he later published a special edition of his "Voice of Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea" magazine highlighting Azerbaijan`s successes.
The sides said there were great potential for boosting cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism, and stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation in other areas too.
Mancham also said Seychelles would put forward its candidacy for 2017-2018 UN Security Council membership, adding if elected, his country will support Azerbaijan`s position.
He further handed over a relevant letter of Seychelles President James Alix Michelin to Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry.
