Armenian militaries breach ceasefire with Azerbaijan
The situation on the line of contact between Azerbaijan and Armenia has remained tense as the Armenian Armed Forces shattered ceasefire a total of 9 times throughout the day, Azerbaijan`s Defense Ministry reported on July 5.
The ceasefire was violated in nameless hills in Bala Jafarli, Gushchu Ayrim villages in Gazakh region, Merzili village in Aghdam region, Kuropatkino village in Khojavand region and Horadiz village in Fuzuli region.
Azerbaijan and Armenia for over two decades have been locked in conflict, which emerged over Armenian territorial claims. Since the 1990s war, Armenian armed forces have occupied over 20 percent of Azerbaijan's internationally recognized territory, including Nagorno-Karabakh and seven adjacent regions, while the OSCE MG deals with the conflict resolution.
