Young cyclist shines in Slovakia

Azerbaijani young cyclists participated in the International Bicycle Day event in Slovakian Dubnitsa.
The 51st tournament was attended by 95 cyclists from over ten countries, including Azerbaijani cyclists under 17.
Azerbaijani Elgun Alizade shone at the tournament. He was named the best mountain rider of the two-day event. He gathered 12 points at the three-stage mountain tournament.
Alizade attracted global attention by taking the 12th place at the European championship held in Switzerland in July.
The athlete is looking for the success at the World Championship in Spain on September 21-28.
"Competitions that we attended prior to the World Championship allowed us to get prepared for the biggest tournament of the year," he said.
"My responsibility has increased after this year's European Championship and I will do my best to meet the expectations of the Federation and coaches that always support us," Alizade added.
