London should take new approach towards Tehran –official
Britain cut relations with Iran, so if they are interested in resuming diplomatic ties they should step forward, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Seyed Abbas Araqchi said on August 5.
"London should take a new approach in its relations with Tehran," Araqchi said, the Fars News Agency reported.
"Over 55 foreign delegations attended the swearing-in ceremony of Iran's President Hassan Rouhani. This proves that the Islamic Republic of Iran is not isolated and has international credit," he said.
"It's unfair to say that Iran's foreign policy during the past few years was unsuccessful," he said.
Araqchi went on to say that the disagreements between Tehran and Ankara will not affect the two countries bilateral ties.
"Currently the serving span of nearly 40 ambassadors has come to end," he added.
