Trump: US to leave Iran in 2 or 3 weeks
United States President Donald Trump said the US will be leaving Iran in "two or three weeks," after being asked about his plan to bring down rising gas prices, AzerNEWS reports.
"All I have to do is to leave Iran and we will be doing that very soon," Trump told reporters, adding that prices will "come tumbling down" once this takes place. He then stressed that "if France or some other country wants to get oil or gas, they'll go up through the strait...they'll be able to fend for themselves," adding that the US will have "nothing to do with that."
Trump also noted that "Iran doesn't have to make a deal" for the US to end its military action there.
"When we feel that they are for a long period of time put in the stone ages and they won't be able to come up with a nuclear weapon, then we'll leave. Whether we have a deal or not, irrelevant," he said.
