Iran allots funds to boost gasoline production at Bandar Abbas refinery

Iran has allocated 50 million Euro to implement a development plan at Bandar Abbas refinery, aiming to boost gasoline production, Trend news agency reported referring to the IRIB.

The refinery's gasoline and diesel fuel production are projected to be increased by 3 million liters and 8 million liters, respectively.

The development plan has progressed by 74 percent so far.

On January 25, IRNA news agency quoted deputy oil minister Alireza Zeighami as saying that seven oil refining projects are underway in Iran, with the goal of boosting gasoline production capacity to 110 million liters per day.

The projects will be inaugurated maximum by the end of the first half of the next Iranian calendar year (September 21, 2013), he added.

The projects include Arak, Lavan, Tabriz, Esfahan, Bandar Abbas, Tehran, and Persian Gulf Star refineries.
