Military issues in focus in Nakhchivan
Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov has met a delegation of the Turkish Armed Forces.
Speaking at the meeting, Talibov stressed the importance of the Turkish delegation`s visit to Nakhchivan, hailing it as a "sign of friendly and fraternal relations".
He pointed out that the visit would contribute to the development of the military ties.
"Azerbaijan and Turkey maintained successful relations in a variety of fields, including the military one," he said.
Talibov also lauded the role of the Turkish Armed Forces in build-up of the military in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
Head of the Turkish delegation, commander of the 9th Corps based in Erzurum Seref Ongay praised army build-up measures carried out in Nakhchivan.
Turkey`s Consul General in Nakhchivan Ali Rza Akinci was present at the meeting.
