Delegation of Moscow State University visits Baku branch

A delegation from the faculty of economics at Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) visited the Baku branch of MSU.
Dean of the Faculty Alexander Auzan met economics students of the branch.
Saying that the faculty of economics opened in September 2012, Rector of the Baku branch of MSU Professor Nargiz Pashayeva highlighted the faculty's activities.
At the meeting, it was noted the faculty was created to update the content of economic education for its adaptation to the realities of market economy.
The two sides discussed the prospects of improving the work of the faculty and perfecting the quality of the educational process.
Auzan also laid out plans related to the development of the faculty.
Deputy Dean of MSU for Foreign Relations Vladimir Echenique said they were considering the inclusion of the students at the Baku branch in the student exchange program.
The economics faculty of the Baku branch of MSU is functioning in two areas: economics and management. A considerable part of its curriculum includes fundamental courses on economics theory, history of economics, the theory of the world economy, and courses in different areas of micro and macroeconomic analysis.
Applied economics disciplines are also presented in the curriculum.
