President Aliyev receives outgoing head of OSCE Baku office
Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev on December 25 received Head of the OSCE Office in Baku, Ambassador Koray Targay, who completed his diplomatic mission in the country, AzerTag state news agency reported.
Targay noted that Azerbaijan was one of the rapidly developing countries, and said diplomats in the country were provided with excellent conditions.
The sides also discussed prospects for development of the Azerbaijan-OSCE cooperation.
The OSCE Office in Baku will operate under the status of project coordination from January 1, 2014.
Azerbaijan applied to the organization to change the status of its office in Baku earlier this year. The Project Coordinator will build on the valuable work done by the OSCE Office in Baku. The head of the Baku office will also be the Projects Coordinator.
The annual mandate of the OSCE Office in Baku has been valid since 2000.
