Azerbaijan's athletes win gold in North Cyprus

Azerbaijani athletes successfully performed at the 'North Cyprus Challenge Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu International Tournament'.

The event, organized by the Directorate of Sports Affairs at Mustapha Pasha Sports Complex, was held in Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) in North Cyprus on December 22.

Azerbaijan's athletes Gurban Bayramli and Rashad Hajiyev won two gold medals at the tournament, which brought together 30 athletes from eight countries - Azerbaijan, Turkey, Nigeria, Cameroon, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, England and North Korea.

North Cyprus Challenge Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu International Tournament has already acquired the status of a traditional one: it was held in 2012 and it is planned to be held in the future. The tournament attracted a lot of attention from Famagusta residents as well as EMU students.
