President Aliyev holds meetings with Ukrainian officials

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev was on a two-day official visit to Ukraine on November 17-18.
On the second day of the visit, President Aliyev met with Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov at his temporary state residence in Kyiv.
They praised bilateral cooperation, saying it is rapidly developing in a variety of fields, especially the economic one.
The sides noted the importance of joint projects in terms of expanding trade between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, saying there were good prospects in this field.
The President and Prime Minister also stressed a great potential for ensuring the access of the Ukrainian market to Azerbaijani products, particularly agricultural products, and said there were good prospects for cooperation in grain production, cattle-breeding, and other fields.
The sides also highlighted the excellent prospects in the construction sector, praising development of cooperation in the fields of industry and infrastructure.
They also hailed the good opportunities that exist for cooperation in the energy field, and also the successful activities of SOCAR in Ukraine.
The parties stressed the possibility of exploring prospects for Azerbaijan's investment in Ukraine.
President Aliyev and Premier Azarov praised the humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
As part of the visit, the Azerbaijani President met with chairman of Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Rybak at the Ukrainian Parliament in Kyiv.
The sides praised political and economic cooperation between the two countries.
They stressed the importance of current visit by President Ilham Aliyev in terms of boosting bilateral relations.
They also praised the role of inter-parliamentary cooperation.
The Azerbaijani President and the Verkhovna Rada Chairman hailed the two countries' cooperation in international organizations.
They expressed confidence that the Azerbaijani-Ukrainian relations would expand further.
On the same day, President Aliyev visited the Heydar Aliyev Park in Kyiv.
The park was opened on April 25 on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
Later, an official dinner was held in honor of President Aliyev in Kyiv on behalf of the Ukrainian President.
The Azerbaijani President completed his official visit to Ukraine on November 18.
The Head of State was seen off by Ukraine's high-ranking state and government officials in the Kyiv Borispol Airport.
