Azerbaijan’s ruling party exec, US ambassador discuss cooperation
Deputy Chairman of the ruling Yeni (New) Azerbaijan Party Ali Ahmadov met with the U.S. Ambassador Richard Morningstar in headquarters of the party on Monday, the website of the party said, Trend news agency reported.
The parties discussed the cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States, a comprehensive exchange of views took place on the prospects for development of these relations, the political situation in Azerbaijan, as well as the geopolitical situation and the processes taking place in the country.
Ahmadov expressed condolences to Ambassador Richard Morningstar on the tragedy that took place in one of the primary schools in the U.S. city of Newtown and underlined that the event was received with deep regret in Azerbaijan.
