Caucasus clerical leaders condemn ethnic separatism
Caucasus religious leaders consider it important to preserve Islamic values to ensure peace and stability in the region, with religious leaders and organizations playing a key role, the Supreme Religious Council of the Caucasus said.
Religious figures condemned ethnic separatism and religious discrimination during a Council meeting in the Azerbaijani capital Baku on Monday. They also stressed the need of demonstrating the spiritual and religious unity to ensure peace and stability in the region and the world, the Caucasus Muslims Office said.
The meeting was held with the participation of religious leaders of the Caucasus peoples led by head of the Caucasus Muslims Office Sheikhulislam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade.
