Azeri soldier killed in cease-fire breach
An 18-year-old Azerbaijani soldier has been killed after a
cease-fire violation committed in Azerbaijan’s Fizuli district
located on the frontline with Armenia, the Baku-based ANS TV
channel reported.
Ramin Niftaliyev died of a wound in his heart inflicted by an Armenian sniper.
Azerbaijan and Armenia fought a lengthy war that ended with the signing of a cease-fire in 1994, but Armenia continues to occupy Upper Garabagh and seven other Azerbaijani districts in defiance of international law.*
