Azerbaijan’s Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev has met with members of "Young filmmakers" club.
The meeting took place at the film Studio "Azerbaijanfilm" named after Jafar Jabbarli, Trend Life reported.
The minister got acquainted with the activities of the club, while young Azerbaijani filmmakers informed him about their plans and upcoming projects.
Director of the film studio "Azerbaijanfilm", Chairman of the Guild of Producers of Azerbaijan , Mushfig Hatamov also attended the event.
"Azerbaijanfilm" was established in 1920 as a photo-cinema department at the Azerbaijan SSR People's Commissariat, and in 1923 renamed as "Azerbaijani Photo-Cinema Office" (AFKI). Currently, "Azerbaijanfilm" is a part of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan.
The studio produced numerous films, including "The Cloth Peddler" (1945), "Babek" (1979), Sari Gelin (1998), "The Dream" (2001), "Buta" ( 2011), "Steppe Man" (2012) and other films.
