Taxes Ministry transfers 4.8 bln manats to state budget

Azerbaijan's Taxes Ministry transferred 4.8 billion manats of tax levies to the state budget in January-August 2014
"The specific weight of proceeds on profit tax hit 33.9 percent of a total volume of tax levies, value added tax - 27.3 percent, income tax - 12.9 percent, excise tax - 10.7 percent, other taxes - 15.2 percent," the ministry reported on September 11.
Some 57.7 percent of a total volume of revenues or 2.77 billion manats came to the state budget from the tax deductions from the non-oil sector.
The proceeds through this line increased by 15.1 percent compared to the same period of last year.
The forecast on tax deductions for the Tax Ministry is set in the volume of 7.1 billion manats for 2014.
The ministry also said some 54,285 taxpayers passed state registration in Azerbaijan during this period. The total number of taxpayers amounted to 585,584 people as of September 1, 2014.
In January-August 2013, the specific weight of tax declarations, presented in electronic form, amounted to 90.8 percent.
