The report that 225 block trains from China arrived in Azerbaijan in the first seven months of 2025 is not just a dry statistic in the world of logistics. It is a clear indicator of the shifting economic geography of Eurasia. Compared to the same period last year, this figure represents nearly a twofold increase. More importantly, it signals the growing centrality of Azerbaijan in what is increasingly seen as the backbone of East–West connectivity: the Middle Corridor, officially known as the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.
