A grand tournament for the GKS Futsal Cup has been held among the Russian teams.
The history of the tournament dates back to 2007, and the tenth anniversary tournament was decided to be held in Baku, Trend Life reported.
The main organizer from the Azerbaijani side was the company ASEP (AZFAR Sport Events & Promotion), known by popular mini-football AZFAR Business League - ABL Cup 2017/18.
ASEP is the leader among companies that provides services in the sports field, organizing sports events, children's sports schools, etc.
The company aims to develop sports tourism across the country by involving with the foreign athletes and fans.
In a short time, it has developed and implemented several major sports projects. That is why the choice of organizers from the Russian side fell on ASEP.
Nine futsal teams from different parts of Russia - Tatarstan, Perm, Chelyabinsk, Saratov, Moscow, Ufa arrived in Baku. A specially invited team from Baku also took part in the championship.
The tournament for the GKS Cup is a kind of Business League, where teams representing different organizations, enterprises, factories and factories are assembled. Russia was represented by the teams "GKS", "Stels", "SaratovGazAutomatic", "Pepperl + Fuchs", "Zik", "Energomashkomplekt", "Siemens", "IMS", "Emerson" and specially invited team from Baku - "Amrahbank" . In addition to the participants of the championship, large groups of fans came to Baku to support their teams, which made the tournament even more interesting and spectacular.
Finally, the champion of the tenth Jubilee Championship was named. Team "GKS" will take their prize to Kazan.
All teams showed a brilliant game, taking places in the championship table.
"Amrahbank" team showed the highest class of team play, technique, speed, taking a worthy place in the championship. The head of SPE "GKS" Airat Ildarovich Sabirov thanked the team and invited to become a participant in the subsequent championships.
The awarding ceremony took place in Pullman Hotel. The winner of the championship team "GKS" was awarded the main prize - the Cup of the 10th anniversary tournament.
Further, guests enjoyed an entertainment program, prepared ASEP.
The host of the evening was the famous showman Kamran Razmovar.
Famous singer Rilaya and Exellent Band delighted listeners.
During the days spent in Baku, guests from Russia, got acquainted with the sights of the Azerbaijani capital. They visited Old City, State Flag Square, Heydar Aliyev Center. The guests also enjoyed a variety of national dishes. One of the bright impressions for the guests was the acquaintance with the national folk music. The sounds of tar, saz, naghari gave everyone unforgettable emotions. Baku will remain in the hearts of the guests and participants of the championship as one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
