Azerbaijani dancers show brilliant performance in Georgia

Azerbaijani dancers have demonstrated a brilliant performance at the 7th Sports Dances International Olympiad in Tbilisi (Georgia) winning the first nine places, Trend Life reports.

The tournament was attended by representatives from Germany, Ukraine, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey, Iran, Slovakia. The event was attended by over two thousand of youth, including people with disabilities.

The event program included Cheerleading Championship, championship of Georgia cheerleading, tournaments between schools and universities as well as Cheer and Para Para Dance Championships.

Azerbaijan was presented by the teams SS Jam ( junior and adult teams, led by Aziz Azizov and Narmin Asadova), Zirve team (art director Emil Panahi) and the two NERO groups ( junior and adult teams, led by Emin Useynov).

The 92-member Azerbaijani dancing team performed in the categories of "Modern", "Show Dance", "Hip-hop solo dance", "Hip-hop dance team", "Variety dance", "Street dance", "Contemporary", "Ethno Folk" and "Folk Stilization".

Noteworthy, it's the second time when Rasul Guliyev, member of Jam SS team won in the category of "Hip Hop solo dance"

National dancer has once again proved that Azerbaijan has the strongest solo dancers.

Talent and patriotism of Emil Panakhov`s students amazed and delighted everyone.

"I'm proud of our dancers who once again successfully presented our country at international tournament,"said President of Azerbaijan Modern and Social Dance Association Aziz Azizov.

He said that further they plan to participate in the Azerbaijan Championship, World Dance Olympiad in Moscow, summer camps featuring master classes. "I'm proud that our workers of art, who adequately responded to all provocations with their head held high, as leader of the region in all aspects! I would especially like to note the high skill of our fellow dancers and organizers from Georgia. It was a pleasure working in such a warm and friendly atmosphere," he emphasized.
