Latvian artists to present works in Baku

The Heydar Aliyev Center will host an exhibition of Latvian artists on November 26.

The exhibition will be held in the framework of Latvian Days running in the country under the slogan "Feel Latvia."

The exhibition, entitled "Different Sea. One World" will feature the works of famous Latvian artists Alexei Naumov, Kristaps Zarins and Andris Vītoliņš.

Alexey Naumov is a well-known master of the landscape and a prominent representative of the Latvian plein air painting. Currently, he is the rector of the Latvian Academy of Arts. He held more than 60 solo exhibitions and participated in over 40 joint exhibitions.

Kristaps Zarins is a professor at the Latvian Academy of Arts. He organized a number of solo exhibitions in Latvia and other countries, and also participated in joint exhibitions. His works are kept in museums in Latvia, Russia and in private collection in Europe.

Andris Vitolinsh is a representative of the industrial painting. Basically he paints portraits, but he has also works of beautiful landscapes. He had held 10 solo exhibitions and participated in over 40 joint ones. Vitolinsh is an associate Professor in the Department of Painting of the Latvian Academy of Arts.

The exhibition will run until the end of February.
