City Day held in Sumgayit

On September 22, Sumgayit city celebrated its 65th anniversary of establishment.
On this occasion, many interesting and entertainment events were held near the Heydar Aliyev monument, located in Sumgayit. Karate sportsmen also performed a show program for the visitors.
A cycling tour and a horse racing also attracted the attention of thousands of people.
Along with adults, many children joined the cycling competition.
The horse racing was held after the cyclists' performances.
At the end, the awarding ceremony was held, which brought together
many residents of the city.
The events will continue till September 23. It is expected that the "City Day" event will start from an ancient Jorat village, where near the Jorat castle the guests may enjoy the battle effect performances of actors.
After interesting performances in Jorat, the event will move on
to Flag square, where a solemn celebration will wait all the
guests.
The participants will have the chance to watch amazing shows
including military march, sportsmen performances, motor cyclists
matches, retro cars exhibition and various fairy tales characters
performances. In addition, "Drummer girls" play and a spectacular
air show are included in the event.
The night will continue with performances of famous Azerbaijani singers and colorful fireworks.
