Int’l water polo tournament due in Baku

The Water Sports Palace in Baku will host the “President Cup” international water polo tournament marking the 93rd anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev on May 5-7, Trend reports.
Co-organized by Azerbaijan Swimming Federation and the Youth and Sports Ministry, the tournament brings together teams of Azerbaijan, Moldova, Romania and Switzerland.
The tournament is qualification tournament of the European Junior Water Polo Championships ( U19).
"Azerbaijan for the first time will host Qualification Tournament European Under 19 Water Polo Championships. It's the significant indicator of great attention paid by the country's government to the sports development," Federation's Secretary General Farid Bananiyarli said.
