National gymnasts gain more medals

The World Cup 2015 of Category B was held in Bucharest, Romania on April 3-5. The event hosted gymnasts competing in rhythmic individual (senior 16-99 years).

Reaching all four finals, leader of the Azerbaijani national team Marina Durunda won the bronze medal in exercise with ribbon. Performing with ball and hoop, she ranked fourth, while managing to rank fifth on overall results - all four exercises combined -Gulsum Shafizada who reached to the finals with clubs and ribbon failed to secure a place on the podium.

The Romanian capital also hosted the 14th Irina Deleanu Cup 2015.

The gymnasts competed in the following categories: Rhythmic Individual: Junior 13-15 years and Rhytmic Individual: Senior 16-99 years.

Two national gymnasts including Ayshab Bayramova and Zhala Piriyeva were distinguished.

Senior gymnast Ayshan showed good results as she came third in the all-around and won two silver medals for exercises with hoop and clubs.

Zhala came second among the juniors overall and also showed the best result in the finals with a hoop. Moreover, she won two silver medals (ball, rope) and one bronze (clubs).
