Azerbaijan's Orujov retains leadership in IJF world ranking

The International Judo Federation has released its latest world ranking.
Azerbaijan`s Rustam Orujov remains at the top of the 73kg weight category, Azertac reported.
Other Azerbaijani judo fighters Orkhan Safarov (60kg) and Elmar Gasimov (100kg) rank second in their categories.
Last year, Orujov became the champion of Europe. The silver medalist of Rio-2016 Summer Olympic Games, Rustam Orujov was named the best in Azerbaijan's male team in 2016.
Orkhan Safarov won the bronze at the 2013 World Judo Championships in the category -60 kg.
Elmar Gasimov competed at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics and won a silver medal in 2016. He also won a gold medal at the 2009 European Youth Championship in Yerevan, after defeating Lukáš Krpálek in the final.
Rustam Orujov (73 kg) and Elmar Gasimov are the silver medalists of the 31st summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
