Georgia has the most optimistic expectations from the upcoming NATO summit, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said on August 4.

He made the remarks while speaking at the annual meeting of the heads of Georgian diplomatic missions abroad.

"We can safely say that Georgia has achieved great success in its foreign policy. Given the intensive cooperation with NATO, Georgia has the most optimistic expectations from the alliance's summit," the minister said.

He also voiced hope that Georgia's cooperation with NATO member states will improve

Garibashvili stressed that Georgia intends to make even greater contributions to ensuring the international security.

"Some steps were made to strengthen the cooperation and good neighborhood with the countries of the region and normalization of relations with Russia," he said.
