President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelshvili has signed his first decree to pardon 75 convicts.
"The decree will be directed to the Corrections and Legal Assistance Ministry," Head of the Presidential Administration Lasha Abashidze said on December 18.
Abashidze said the pardoned prisoners would be released from the penitentiary facilities in near future. They will be able to celebrate New Year and Christmas with their families, he added.
