Iranian policy toward US 'fully clear'
Advisor to Iranian Supreme Leader for International Affairs,
Ali-Akbar Velayati, said on Wednesday that Iranian policy toward
the US is fully clear, IRNA news agency reported.
He told reporters that as far as Iranian foreign policy is
concerned, the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution will decide
policy about relations with Washington.
Velayati said that as long as Americans have not changed their
behavior and methods of conduct with Iran, the stance of the
Islamic Republic will remain unchanged.
Under conditions when Americans continue with hostility and spare
no effort to deal a blow to Iranian economy and political and
international status, there will be no thaw of relations with the
US, he added.
On economic development, he said that Iran has adopted strategy for
the economic development in line with the outlines devised by the
Expediency Council and approved by the Supreme Leader.
Velayati said that Majlis (parliament) has passed legislation in
line with general policies of the 5th Five-Year Economic, Social
and Cultural Development Plan.
