SOCAR expands network of gas stations in Ukraine

Azerbaijan's state energy giant SOCAR plans to commission a new gas station in Ukraine, the Ukrainian media reported on April 15.

The new gas station of SOCAR will be located on the embankment of Dnieper River in Kiev and will be the eighth gas station of Azerbaijan's energy company in this city.

SOCAR is the sole producer of oil products in Azerbaijan.

The company is involved in exploring oil and gas fields, producing, processing, and transporting oil, gas, and gas condensate, marketing petroleum and petrochemical products in the domestic and international markets, and supplying natural gas to the domestic market of Azerbaijan.

SOCAR is keen on expanding its operations worldwide.

Currently, SOCAR owns gas stations in Azerbaijan, Switzerland, Georgia and Ukraine.

It has representative offices in Georgia, Turkey, Romania, Austria, Switzerland, Kazakhstan, Britain, Iran, Germany and Ukraine, and trading companies in Switzerland, Singapore, Vietnam, Nigeria, and other countries.

The company exported 225,350 tons of oil products in January and February 2016 compared to 197,880 tons exported during the same period of 2015.

The company exported 1.23 million tons of oil products in 2015 versus 1.2 million tons in 2014.
