Azerbaijani ambassador appointed as OIC observer at EU
The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu has appointed Ambassador Arif Mammadov from Azerbaijan as the OIC Permanent Observer to the European Union.
Official opening of the OIC Permanent Observer Mission to the European Union (EU) will be held in Brussels on June 25. Ihsanoglu will also attend the ceremony.
Mammadov has previously been Azerbaijan's permanent representative to the Council of Europe and Azerbaijani Ambassador to the Benelux countries.
