Georgia fully supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, Georgian historian, doctor of historical sciences, professor of Sokhumi State University Zurab Papaskiri told Trend.

"For Georgia, the territorial integrity of a sovereign state is above all - this is the main priority, therefore we fully support the Azerbaijani state in this matter," said professor Papaskiri.

The expert noted that he, like any civilized person, is against bloodshed and prefers a peaceful settlement to war, but everything has a limit.

According to him, for almost 30 years Azerbaijan, hoping for a peaceful settlement of the conflict, patiently waited.

"However, for almost 30 years we have not seen any progress. I was always surprised that Azerbaijan, with all its might (including military), endured for so long and did not attempt an alternative solution to restore the country's territorial integrity," he said.
