Gurbanli noted that Azerbaijan as a member of the OIC is distinguished by its initiative, always fulfills its obligations and conducts work in accordance with the principles of the organization.
He also stressed that in all international organizations where Azerbaijan is represented, the country protects both its own state interests, and the Islamic culture, and the common interests of the Islamic world.
The head of the State Committee further said that Azerbaijan’s experience in the relations between the state and religion can serve as an example for other countries. Gurbanli also noted that representatives of all religions live in peace and tranquility in Azerbaijan, and the country contributes to interreligious dialogue and deepened partnership.
