The exhibition BakuTel-2013 will showcase calculator that computes cost savings using a mobile digital signature "Asan Imza" (Asan signature).

The news was announced by Estonia-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce and Best Solutions company president Yana Krimpe on November 27.

The calculator is a joint production of Azerbaijani and Estonian experts, and allows for the calculation of the costs of signing paper documents and any potential savings using "Asan Imza", Krimpe said.

The19th Azerbaijan International Telecommunication and Information Technology Exhibition (BakuTel), the largest telecommunication and IT exhibition in the region, will open at the Baku Expo Center on December 2-5.

The calculator of the mobile digital signature "Asan Imza" is the best tool for organizations and companies that sign contracts with their customers, partners, and providers, or exchange other official paper documents, including orders, acts, bills, and business correspondence.

Using mobile digital signature "Asan Imza" when working with documents, an organization can save more than 120,000 manats per year, Krimpe said.

"If companies or organizations sign an average of 7,000 documents by hand on a monthly basis, about 9,500 manats per employee can be saved each month by using the "Asan Imza"," she said.

"Besides, more than 2,000 manats and 350 manats can be saved on printing documents and postal costs, respectively," she added.

Using "Asan Imza" calculator in office can be extremely helpful to those companies that sign a large number of written contracts, and send letters, notices, bills and other documents to their customers and partners.

The "Asan Imza" technology facilitates using a mobile phone as a secure electronic identity card. Like any other technology based on the use of SMART-cards and e-signatures, it can be used to provide secure access to e-services and certify documents with digital signatures. Unlike other technologies, it does not require a card reader.

Azerbaijan plans to expand the geography of its e-signature recognition to all European countries. International recognition of e-signatures guarantees their legal significance when documents are signed between state and private entities of different countries.

The price of "Asan Imza" service in Azerbaijan for a three-year period is 30 manats ($38) for the population, 80 manats ($102) for state bodies, and 154 manats ($196) for businesses.

The number of "Asan Imza" signatures issued in Azerbaijan to date has reached 21,941. Over 11,400 mobile e-signatures were issued for legal entities, 10,476 for individuals, and 61 for civil servants.
